In 1985 several congregations recognized the need for Christian-based counseling beyond what a pastor had time or training to provide. The Christian Counseling Center of Madison County is a consortium of 15 congregations who help to underwrite the ministry, particularly in providing help for those who cannot afford to pay the full rate.
